It was a beautiful late summer day and my husband and I had matinee tickets to a Symphony Center show – a great start to whatever adventure was to follow, and in a big beautiful city like Chicago, you never know what may lie right around the corner. The Art Institute was just across the street and seemed like a good place to start. Strolling up Michigan Ave. we had to stop to appreciate the bluesy vibes of a street musician and then visited the Lurie Gardens at Millennium Park which offers an ever-changing palette of seasonal plants. It was the type of day that just begs you to order a Kir Royale at an open-air restaurant. Perfectly…perfect!
